A selection of 44 2,3 & 4 bedroom villas, engineered down a steep slope. Utilising the incline to maximize views the development allows for retention of privacy and seclusion despite its small ground coverage. This contouring to the cliffside also allows for pools to double as cooling devices to reduce power draw for air conditioning of lower properties. Constructed of simple materials, some found on the site itself and expected to be delivered in 2015.
PROJECT DETAILS
A resort development of 97 luxury hotel villas on the tiny “atoll” of Gilli Meno. The resort is situated between a white sand beach and a fresh water lake with views towards both the volcanoes Mt Agung and Rinjani on Bali and Lombok respectively. The property is constructed of simple, rustic materials but eschews the typical architecture of the beach resort in favour of exposed concrete and planter roofs. The design is centred around a large restaurant, pool and bar facility which give onto a 300m white sand beach. Launching Q4 2014.

A private villa, this property is set on over 3000m2 of absolute beachfront. The architecture is derived from/inspired by the typical Southern Thai house that is commonplace in its immediate vicinity, where a timber upper level sets upon a masonry base. Here, elegantly proportioned and carefully detailed off form concrete forms the ground floor of the property whilst roofs of timber decking form the roof. The property comprises 6 bedrooms, and will be used as a holiday home for a young, Hong Kong based couple and their 3 children. Completion expected during 2015.

The property is based upon the concept of Wu Zi – as the property rises through its 3 floors, its suites are themed around the 5 elements that make up this ancient Chinese Philosophy, beginning with earth and water and ending in fire on the top floor where a restaurant and pool faces sunset views over the Indian Ocean. Completion expected 2015.
